In a highly prestigious move for Bishop’s Stortford Golf Club The Professional Golfers’ Association East Region relocated their headquarters at our club in November 2003.

The PGA East Region is responsible for all aspects of the management and organisation of professional golf within Hertfordshire, Essex, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk , Norfolk , Middlesex and Greater London. Their headquarters will be the administration centre for over 700 professional golfers and will manage in the order of 100 tournaments a year through out the region and overseas. John H Smith, PGA East Region Regional Secretary said, ’we are very pleased to be at Bishop’s Stortford Golf Club. The club provides excellent facilities and is well located for are needs. Importantly too, we have been made to feel very welcome by the members and officials in this long established club that represents the best traditions of the game’

John H Smith is supported with a team of five full time tournament and administrative staff together with numerous part time seasonal staff.
