The men's 'seniors' section of Bishop's Stortford Golf Club is known as "The Bishops".
To be a member of the Bishops you must be a member of the club, 55+ years of age and retired - or at least available to participate in mid - week competitions or matches.
The Bishops meet for 4-ball better-ball, friendly matches every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning throughout the year between 07.30 and 08.30. Simply turn up, join in and enjoy playing with a variety of like-minded golfers.
The Bishops also have a number of Matchplay, Foursome, Greensome and Singles competitions and of course, monthly Medals - all of which attract good prizes and trophies. A minimum of three medals must be played in any 12 month period to qualify for competitions.
Throughout the Summer months Bishops representative teams play matches (home & away) against the Seniors Sections of 10 other clubs in the area. This presents a unique opportunity for members to experience a variety of courses and make new friends outside our own Club.
Any member of Bishop's Stortford Golf Club interested in joining the Bishops should contact the Archbishop or any committee member (as published on the Bishops Section notice board) for further information.
